There is quite some talk today of a crew shortage" worldwide - but as far as Sea Gem International is concerned it does NOT exist for OUR CLIENTS - who know it is still one telephone call job done. All Crew registered with us will have had their c.v. details and references meticulously checked, - many will have been known to us for a number of years. If professionalism and attention to detail are important to you, you have come to the right place. Also, sitting in the office waiting for things to happen is not our style, Sea Gem are out and about, around the Med and elsewhere, meeting as many Clients and Crew as possible, with the very best professional service in mind, - so if you are reading this lying at anchor, take a closer look at the occupants of that pedalo that has recently been circling your Vessel ! Please note also, that with large Yachts getting larger" by the year, we also welcome applications from Merchant Naval trained personnel, - although those applying should realise that the amount of holdays, or leave, available to Crew in Professional Yachting, is somewhat less than in the merchant marine, - and rotation" style employment rare. This is offset, in the opinion of most, by the more pleasant locations either whilst cruising or in home port", and downtime to be enjoyed. This is not to give the impression of it being a doddle - but we honestly find very few return Deep Sea after trying Yachting employment - and with the growing need for heavyweight qualification on the larger Vessels - you should find you are not knocking on a closed door.
